Helen Brooks MSc

Coach Practitioner - European Mentoring and Coaching Council

I am passionate about helping my clients to succeed and thrive personally and professionally. I have worked with clients at a range of levels from middle management and emerging leaders through to senior executives.

Whatever your area of focus, I help you step back from the relentless urgency of a professional daily life, creating space for reflection and focus on your coaching goals. I provide a safe, trusted and appropriately challenging environment to help you build self-awareness, clarity and constructive next steps.

I believe an effective mindset is a key enabler to unlocking potential. I will partner with you to help you understand how your assumptions, beliefs and outlook can be helping or hindering you. Through leveraging strengths and challenging self-limiting beliefs you will be able to move forward constructively.

Clients value my psychological insights and breadth of professional experience from working in industry myself.  Recognising the wider systems in which we live and work is important and I understand that any plans and actions need to be practical for the environment and team you are in.

Professional Background:

For over 23 years as a management consultant, I worked as a trusted advisor to senior clients on their most complex challenges including strategy definition, organisational redesign, operating model development and programme delivery. I am fascinated by what makes organisations and the people within them become and remain effective. This interest has led to my focus on coaching with individuals and teams.

Through consulting, I developed a deep understanding of the complexities and opportunities of professional working environments. To this experience I add strong knowledge of psychological theory and interventions from my studies in coaching and positive psychology. My studies included research into Impostor Syndrome, looking at the triggers, coping strategies and role of organisations in impostor thoughts. I have spoken globally on this topic and partner with individuals and groups to help them develop and manage their mindsets effectively.

I enjoy using my combined consulting and psychology expertise to help my clients build clarity of insight and deeper self-awareness to attain their coaching goals.’
